Finally today I found a hidden place that I want to know. Isn’t very old place, just from 1948. In the forest is possible to find 3 mines of water, they are close because they are using when is enough water.
The west of Centelles the mountain is like a wall, there is a waterfall but should rain a lot too see. The river is subterranean, but isn’t to important, necessary to have local water, because is the basic element to live.
Totally dryOriginal door to know that you find the correct wayDown mine the only with water, should be interesting come here after the spring rainThe medium mine, latin and the date of 1948Totally close the third one, not very easy to find…
I like find places like this, the history of people that try to get water to be a better village. Time and the forest make that people forget this place.
I want to take another way to come back, but isn’t posible
Tonight was cloudy, even yesterday was so humid that seems like rain.
The warm temperatures are quite difficult to avoid, even you go to Siberia is warm. Alert in Canada very north place is more than 20°.
Just patient and enjoy the fresh water, stay in the shadow, relax, move slowly and feel the breeze. Summer is time to be relaxed, if you want to go fast, you can feel nervous and then you feel warmer.
When I think in the paradise never will be a place with all the year of warm days, I’m sorry but I prefer 4 stations, and better a short summer.
Down the trees is one of the best options
I survive to the summer, and sometimes I enjoy a lot, specially in the water. I like run, in summer sometimes is hard, legs are heavy, the blood goes slowly, then you start to sweat and you feel better. Drink a lot of water, and the shower is the best recovery.
I like to stay in cold water, until I feel cold inside and I feel relaxed and very happy. Is a drug the cold water.
I hate air conditioning, I don’t want at home, in the car I use but not very strong.
I like natural cold, not artificial. I prefer a good shadow or wait for the breeze that normally blows in my village.
Yesterday I did trail running with rain, sometimes is nice to see the nature with the magic sound of the rain.
A long way of 17 kilometers
I went to Sant Miquel del Fai, now is closed because they are doing some work to improve. Now is a public place, with falls, a church, caves. I arrived running and see from the cliffs after the rain, was amazing, sun, rainbow, fog…
Cingles de Berti now is very green in this rainy 2020.A house in the middle of a very nice forest. The Cingles had a important fire in 1994, then parts of the mountain are recovering with Mediterranean trees, not in this picture that is like was all before the fire. The waterfall of the Tenes river. Sant Miquel del Fai is going to open again after the reform, like a public familiar placer that used to be. I went sometimes with my parents. The Brigde to enter in the parkThe valley of the Tenes riverAfter the rain, appears the fog, but still is posible see the waterfallThe rainbow in the area where the fire was more important A sunny evening. June give very long days, with this temperature is perfect to enjoyThis view is amazing, I always take pictures from there.
Yesterday was a familiar day in a very special mountain. Pedraforca is a classic in Catalunya, one of the most popular. Despite isn’t the highest and is Prepyreness, the technical climbing and the image makes it very special, also crowded normally.
Now people of Barcelona can’t go there, is still a quiet place. We walk part of a route that is a 360° of the mountain.
This is the best view of the power of this amazing mountain. 2507 meters above the sea, but isn’t the highest mountain in Barcelona.
All around is forest and mountains, but never forget the past than this region the minerals are the main work of this region. The forest are very good, because they work down, also some open miners that still you can see. All trains are now just for tourist, green tracks to enjoy this amazing area.
The north face with and easy track, not in winter with ice. Rivers cross the track, also some rocks can fail, specially in winter with snow and ice.
The storms are near, but we were lucky, we leave the area with fog. During the way coming home, rain was very heavy.
The picture in a peak with good view and lot of trees.
Great day in a place that always can discover places. Lot of paths to walk, some are very technical, but also you can do it easier. There are lot of possibilities in this area.
Normally the road have trafic jams, all the secundary valleys, have roads to the main one of the Llobregat river.
The views of the parking of the sightview where start the walking. Also there is a refuge of mountain.
Today I talk about de Central Pyrenees. In the last chapter I show the mediterranean. The Mediterranean is more stormy in summer. The routes are easier, is posible do lot of distance. In the Mediterranean Pyrenees, there are only lakes in the French area. The Central have lot of lakes, more snow in winter for the Atlantic lows, and just the North and Northwest winds sometimes produces precipitations in the north face, but in the south is warm and dry.
Summer in the Mediterranean Pyrenees Bulloses in France, the area with more lakes in the Mediterranean Pyrenees
Andorra is the country of the Pyrenees, famous shopping area. 2 big sky resorts, lot of places to discover. The Pyrenees you can cross from the Mediterranean to the Cantabrian by 2 big routes, in the french area is call gr-10, spanish is gr-11. Also is posible do the High route of the Pyrenees, very similar but closer to the peaks. Is posible do from refuge to refuge. All way is hard, you need like 40 days, some areas the distance is not very long, but there are lot of rocks, a little bit technically the central area.
There another famous routes of less distance, like Carros de Foc in the National Park of Aiguestortes and Llac de Sant Maurici, this way is between nine refuges, some people do the skyrunner, just in 24 hours, but the most normal is spend 5-6 days.
Near Pas de la Casa in Andorra. The highest city of the Pyrenees, above 2000 meters. Lot of snow in winter, and fresh normally foggy in summer afternoons, for the Atlantic influence of this valley, the only valley of Andorra in the Atlantic face.Vall d’Incles the most virgin valley in AndorraLlesui in the Pallars, in the valley same rainfall that Barcelona. Sometimes with strong North wind the have the Foehn that they call snow eating.
There are 2 national parks in the Spanish side. The Aiguestortes and Sant Maurici lakes is the area with more lakes. In Aragon is the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park. Both parks are very interesting to visit, and the architecture of the valleys are very interesting, specially the Boi Valley
Taull in winter. The Boi valley is very interesting for the romanic architecture. Also is the main entrance to Aiguestortes national Park.National Park Aiguestortes
There is only a Valley in the Atlantic side in Spain, there is the Vielha tunnel the most safe route in winter. Val d’Aran have an Atlantic climate, with regular rainfall, lot of snow and clouds in the afternoon summer.
Montgarri should be the most snowy village in Spain, but anybody is living in the all village. Too much snow.Winter in Vall d’Aran
Neighbor to Vall d’aran and Vall the Boi, there is the highest mountain in the Pyrenees, Aneto (3404 meters above the sea).
Aragón is the area with the highest mountains, also is still posible to sea glaciers, but they are in problems to continue in the next years.
Pineta Valley in the National park of Ordesa and Monte PerdidoOrdesa, the main route of the park. The famous Cola de Caballo. If you want to continue is a very technical way... Even is the most popular route of the park, is 18 kilometers in the normal way, nice forest and lot of water. Some of the waterfalls that you find in Ordesa.
If you continue the trip to the west, the Atlantic influence is high, the mountains are lower but the forest are amazing.
Canfranc is very interesting for the international station, now isn’t posible to go to France. Canfranc is full of interesting things like a laboratory inside a tunnel. If you like places with abandoned infrastructures, Canfranc is perfect.
The blue lakes route
Next day I will continue to the Atlantic Pyrenees, more green with regular rainfall, very foggy and some of the best forest.
Some pictures more of the Central Pyrenees.
Vall FoscaThe main road to Aiguestortes in the record winter of 2013. Taxi is the transport to arribe to the park. But isn’t posible in hard winter days.
